The drama in the red party continues as now there is alleged bickering over the finances the party has. There was a large amount gathered from the overseas tour.

The bouts of heavy rain on Sunday undid some of the hard work done by the road contractors along Fugalei Road. Hopefully, good weather persists.

Burglars are becoming more daring. A boutique shop’s security camera caught a thief inside their shop in broad daylight and they have asked people to help identify the culprit.

GOOD WORK

It was good to see someone who found an iPhone on the seawall in Apia reaching out to the owner to get in touch with them. There will be a few ‘non-owners’ who might call.

FINES

There needs to be a unit within the labour ministry to do random checks on occupational health and safety at workplaces. A few fines will get everyone to follow the laws.

LITTER

People have conveniently forgotten about keeping their surroundings clean as CHOGM has finished. The litterbugs have emerged from hiding and the carnage is visible on roadsides.
