Surprising comments during parliament as one MP remarked that the Samoan government had nothing to do with the Pacific Forum Line. Maybe he does not know that Samoa owns more than 50 per cent of PFL.

FUGALEI

Rain is forecasted for the country. This could impact the work done on the Fugalei Road. From the work done so far, it looks like a permanent seal is being put on the road.

ACCIDENT

A driver of a car involved in an accident was lucky to be alive as his vehicle veered off the road and ended up in a ditch. The vehicle was removed and taken elsewhere before the police could arrive.

ARRIVALS

More than 22,000 people arrived in Samoa last month. Of this, more than 16,000 stayed in private accommodation or with families. Hotels still enjoyed good occupancy.

LOW SUPPLY

Not much sign of potatoes or onions in most supermarkets. There is also a very limited selection of meat. It must be that time when supplies are running low and the wait is for the supply ship.

POWER MONEY

Is the government thinking about discounting power rates to commercial customers since the EPC has a lot of money, according to the minister responsible?
