Between the Lines
BACK IN HOUSE
Parliament will be exciting this week. This will be the first session which will be attended by the opposition leader since his suspension. He was away abroad attending to rugby duties the last time.
ABSENT
There is still a cloud on whether the Prime Minister will be in the country for parliament. She has just undergone surgery in New Zealand and is most likely to be absent from the House.
BUYING TIME
The former Associate Minister for Police has bought himself some more time as the PM is still on medical leave. Hopefully, the Cabinet issues the report to the Speaker instead of forgetting about it.
BEWARE
With Christmas a week away, please stay clear of scammers. Some local scammers are selling goods on the online market but ask for payment via the MTala or MyCash apps even before the goods are received.
CASH
SNPF has been quiet on many things. People have been anxiously waiting to know if there are going to be cash dividends at the end of the year or if the figure would be reflected in their accounts.
DRAINAGE
Drainage in the town area needs to be looked at again. More than a few places had collected water and looked like little ponds during the heavy rain Samoa has been having.
