Heard England was keen on playing Toa Samoa in Apia in test rugby league. But backed out as Apia Park locker rooms and the facilities are not up to scratch. But the All Blacks play here in 2015 unfazed. 

ELEVATOR

Elevators at the Government Building are still offline with only one functioning. To ensure it stays operational, an elevator operator has been appointed to sit next to the lift daily ‘to press the floor button’! Is that the best use of taxpayer money? 

OLD CHAP

An elderly couple was spotted helping each other slowly go down the stairs outside the court. They were offered assistance, but the old chap said: “We are used to this, and if I get tired, I’ll just push her down the stairs and let the lawyers come for her!”

TRAFFIC OFF

Has anyone noticed how erratic the traffic lights in various parts of Apia have become in recent weeks? The ones at Lepea have gained notoriety with those in Pesega and Vaimea not far behind. In need of servicing?

DEADLINE

MOH has released its travel restrictions for travelers from Pago. They come into effect on 1 May 2023. What about Samoans currently stranded in Pago? They have 4 days to get back before restrictions apply.

ETIQUETTE

Has anyone heard of telephone etiquette? It refers to how you conduct yourself and the organisation you represent when you answer a phone call. Staff from a number of public and private entities need refresher courses.
