Rumours suggest the planned introduction of new banknotes has been postponed so a government leader can be featured on the currency. Coincides with the next general election, huh?

CURRENCY

A top Samoa Observer informant has verified that a yet-to-be-introduced new currency note will showcase someone besides the Head of State. Word is it's a $60 bill due for release next month! 

PSA FIRE

Last Saturday’s fire at the old PSA House raised questions about the union’s future. In mid-2021, after the new Government’s formation, it appeared a revival was on the cards only to fizzle out.

FRIENDS

Over 4 years ago an MP’s comments about a foreign nation triggered a firestorm, even a diplomat slammed the ‘ignorant’ remarks. But it's different today, when in power, you’re friends with all.

NEGLIGENCE

Are there grounds for the islanders to sue the State due to its successive failure to build a wharf to make sea travel safe? The islanders would use some help from lawyers keen for pro bono work.
