The Maota at Talitaliaai in Saipipi Savaii was the venue of a special occasion on Friday. 

It hosted the bestowal of new title holders for the Tofa family.

Four new title holders for the title Tofa and seven new title holders for the title Toleafoa were blessed and welcomed by the family and village. 

The service was conducted by the Preacher's helper (A'oa'o Fesoasoani) Niu'ia Faanu of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa at Saipipi. 

It was followed by an ava ceremony where the High Chief of the village and matai gathered to bless and welcome the service of the new title holders. 

Tutuaitu Samuelu spoke on behalf of the village in wishing the new title holders the best of luck on their new journey. 

He reminded the new title holders that the title comes with responsibilities, therefore they should commit to their responsibilities and their families and village well. 

• Tofa Saufatu spoke on behald of the family to thank the village for their blessing and gracing the event with their presence. 

Families and friends of the new title holders from Samoa and abroad gathered at Saipipi for the special celebration.
