Finally there is someone with a positive story to tell about water.

“Water has now reached our place, we are super grateful.”

So said Pologa Soe, 23, of Ulutogia.

He’s extremely thankful towards the Samoa Water Authority for providing water to families like his living on higher ground.

He told Village Voice that S.W.A. has just begun their work on the installation of the water system

“We have been waiting for this moment for a long time,” he said.

“Even though it has taken ages for my family and families living on this area, at least we have water now.”

“Thank God for S.W.A. Thank you for noticing and hearing our plea.”

Pologa seeing the work being done is a massive relief.

“They are making sure that all families will get access to water as soon as possible.”

“Personally, I feel grateful and thankful towards the S.W.A. because finally what we wanted for long time is finally being delivered.”

“We can live without most things but water.”

 “Water is life.”

Away from water, the 23-year-old said everything is going smoothly back in the village.

Life, in fact, is great

“I live in Vaitele but I usually visit my family here in the village when we have family obligations.”

“It’s always a good chance to catch up with friends living here and to be able to experience village life again.”
