Silimona Fa’ataga and Lupematasila Faato Falaniko tied the knot before God, families and friends with a service at the Manumailagi Garden, Siusega.

Silimona Fa’ataga is the seventh child of Pastor Fa’ataga Fa’ataualofa and the late Autalavou Fa’ataga.

Lupematasila Fa’ato Falaniko is the son of the late Evelina and Lupematasila Falaniko.

The service was conducted by the father of the bride, Pastor Fa’ataga Faataualofa.

Pastor Fa’ataga urged the couple to uphold their vows.

“Because some people just say it as words but do not put into action their commitment,” he said.

“I am simply overjoyed that everything that I hoped for my daughter in finding a good husband and having a family of her own has come true.

“And of course it is every parent’s dream to see their children find happiness by settling down and I am fortunate to witness that.”

He added that the couple has been together for more than three years.

Sister of the groom, Toipua Schuster, said:

“Our family is very happy for him; it has been such a busy week with our reunion and then today as my brother’s special day.

“But we acknowledge the support and cooperation of the bride’s family reuniting with ours to make this union a success.

“We wish our brother a happy marriage together with his wife.”
