One of the bigger families (in terms of numbers) in the village of Vailele celebrated the festive season with their first ever reunion.

Each year every chapter of the Sa Faoasau clan celebrate with a special Christmas every year in their home country.

However this was the first time since the inception of the annual service (20 years ago) that the decision was made by the family elders to bring all family members from all over the globe to celebrate at their spiritual base in Vailele.

The reunion was for three days culminating in their investitures (Saofai) which is due to be held on Monday the 28th December 2015 at Niniva

There was a cultural programme on the first day and a special song was composed in commemorating the occasion whilst on the second day sports were to the forefront.

On Sunday, the whole reunion joined fellow worshippers at the E.F.K.S church at Vailele for the morning service.

The Sa Faoasau family was the family who gifted the land on which the E.F.K.S church was built and this is testament to their dedication and devotion to the Lord’s ministry.

Spokesman’s for the Sa Faoasau Family, Faoasau Aunese, stated that the elders of the family believed that the time was right for the family to gather at their spiritual home to reflect, celebrate and encourage each other in their respective walks of life.

The family has produced many leaders of industry, of the community and sports. The Faoasau family has many of its heirs also engaged in ministry work in the church in various leadership roles.

Most of the family members who travelled from aboard will stay on in Samoa to enjoy the holiday season and “catch up” with family. The pictures show the family members enjoying every moment.
