The Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently undertook a review of their Strategic Plan 2016-2020 in Savai’i.

The review identified opportunities for the Chamber in the remaining two years of the plan, to enable it to serve its members through targeted support services, as well as strengthened advocacy on private sector issues and opportunities at the national level.

The Chamber acknowledged the support of private sector organisation members who sit on the executive council—WIDBI, Samoa For Real and BoSA (Business of Salafai Association) for their partnership and ongoing support.

The Chamber said it was privileged to host the business community, business partners from Business of Salafai Association (BoSA), Savai’i Samoa Tourism Association (SSTA) as well as Samoa Hotel Association (SHA).

Special mention was made of the BoSA president, Pauli Pipi Tavita Teriu, SSTA president Vaaelua Faapoipoi Gidlow and SHA president Tupai Saleimoa Vaai for their presence and commitment to partnerships and collaboration with the private sector.

“Together, we are working towards better collaboration, strengthened networks and effective partnerships for an enabling business environment.

“We would like to thank Vaimoana Seaside Lodge & Vaisala Beach Hotel for hosting us and a special thank you to Taula Beverages Samoa,” the Chamber said in a statement.

To mark the official end of the program, the Chamber hosted the business community on the island to a cocktail/dinner networking event.
