As a Christian state, we must try to walk the faith that we profess.

“Going to church is one thing, but living and walking what the church preaches is another thing,” Fiti Vaovasa from Vaitele told the Village Voice team yesterday while he was participating in a church function.

Mr. Vaovasa, 37, said the church plays a huge role in his village.

“I must say that in a village like ours, here in Vaitele, the church is the main factor that brings people together.”

“The church also unites us under God’s governance because we don’t have Village Councils around here to guide our village.”

Mr. Vaovasa said the church also helped uniting youths of the village.

“The youth is by far the hardest group of people to control, but thankfully the church has been organizing and hosting gatherings and trying to build the bond among the youths as well as getting to know everyone.”

Mr. Vaovasa said he enjoyed assisting the church gatherings and functions because of the experience he got from there.

“I am enjoying everything here at church and I am excited to assist them in any possible way.”

“I know we all go to church but the most important thing is living and walking what the church preaches about.”

Mr. Vaovasa added although there was no Village Council, he still felt safe because of the power of the church.

“I am happy to say that the church made this place safe because through the church, bond among people are strengthened.”

“I am also excited to say that the church is not just a place to go and pray but also a place that unites different people into a big family of God.”
