Two nurses appear in Court

Two nurses charged in connection with the deaths of two toddlers in Savai’i last month appeared before the Supreme Court yesterday.

Luse Emo Tauvale and Leutogi Te’o appeared before His Honour Chief Justice, Patu Tiava'asu’e Falefatu Sapolu.

Leone Su’a-Mailo, of the Office of the Attorney General, made an application to the Court for a one-week adjournment to enable the prosecution to finalise the charges.

Chief Justice Patu granted the application and said the bail conditions will remain the same. 

“The matter against you has been adjourned to next week Monday at 10 in the morning upon application from the prosecution.

“They have asked for a one-week adjournment to finalise the charges. Therefore, this matter is adjourned to next week Monday 3rd of September."
