It is said that love comes to those who wait.

This rings true for Sara Vasa and Norman Faafetai who finally tied the knot after six years of courtship last Saturday.

The couple exchanged vows in front of God, family and friends at the Congregational Christian Church at Sili, Savai’i.

Bride, Sara, is the daughter of Faamatuainu Fiu Vasa Ato and Tupou Fiu Fatu from the villages of Sili and Lufilufi.

She works at the Samoa National Provident Fund at Savai’i as a Senior Accounts and Administration Officer.

Norman is the son of Rev. Fa’afetai Tilo and Fiaapia Lufia of Samata-Uta and Falevao.

He is a teacher at Samoa Primary School, Maugafiafia Vailele Uta. The couple thanked God, families and friends for their support.

“We thank God for bringing us together. We are confident and we look forward to the challenges of married life.”

“Everything has really tested our faith, patience, trust and most importantly our love for each other. We believe that not all marriages may be successful, but you have to make it successful and that’s what we intend to do,” Sara said.

“We are now planning to keep on working to support our families and the church. It all depends on opportunities that God has in store for us.”

“We wish our love to last forever and that we may grow in love all the days of our lives.”

The reception was held at the Methodist Hall at Salelologa, Apita o Pisaga, where about 300 people gathered to celebrate the beginning of a new journey of Mr. and Mrs. Fa’afetai.
