Va’alagoa Kamilo Faumuina, the man accused for the murder of a 15-year-old boy in Satapuala in January this year, has entered a not guilty plea.

He is represented by lawyer, Tauiliili Harry Schuster, while prosecution was Lucy Marie Sio.

The Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asu’e Falefatu Sapolu is presiding.

During the criminal mention hearing, Tauiliili told the Court that his client has entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him.

Chief Justice Patu adjourned the matter for hearing.

He also asks defense counsel about bail.

“Your Honour, we will be making a written application to the prosecution as well as the Court to grant bail,” said Tauiliili.

“The Court has noted down your not guilty plea to the charge against you through your counsel,” C.J. Patu told the defendant

“Therefore, this matter is adjourned on the week commencing the 13th August, 2018 for hearing.

“You will still be remanded in Court until Tuesday next week so that your counsel can put forward a written application as well as the reasons to support this application for your bail with conditions.

“So you have to remind the Tafaigata officers to make sure they bring you here next week Tuesday.”
