The theme of the four-day reunion according to the family spokesperson, Leatinuu Keneti Peseta is to bring the family together especially for the children to know their roots and relatives in Samoa and from overseas.

“This is a very important occasion for our family and I want to thank God for bringing us all together,” said Leatinuu.

“I hope this reunion will not only bring us the spirit of this season but to also bring the children of Tapasu and Faiga more closer together.

Leatinuu Keneti said the estimated number of people that were born from Tuala and Faiga is about 200.

The reunion officially started with the Church service held at the Congregational Christian Church at Vailoa Faleata, lead by Reverend Siaosi Mataia yesterday morning.

Tuala and Faiga’s children presented a banquet table to be used for the Church services during the opening of their reunion programme yesterday.

The reunion programme included a picnic and sleep over for the family at the Faofao Beach Fales at Saleapaga today where games and activities for the children will be held.

The family will return to Vailoa Faleata on Friday and a round trip around the Island of Upolu.

The gathering will wrap up with a family ball this Saturday night.
