Samoa simply beautiful

Caitlin Carter’s trip to Samoa will not be easily forgotten.

Speaking with Dear Tourist yesterday, the young kiwi describes her trip with one simple word: “amazing”.

“My trip to Samoa so far has been amazing; I am here for a total of six weeks,” Caitlin said.

“There’s not much to say other than this country is simply beautiful with so many beautiful people. I have managed to get out and explore quite a bit of the country.

“I have been out to Lalomanu for a weekend and also to Savai’i for a weekend. I have loved it.”

But as all good things go, her Samoan experience is coming to an end.

“Sadly, I am heading back home this Saturday,” she said.

“I would love to see more of the country than I have already seen but this will be my final week. On the other hand, Christmas was so much fun.

“We went to Taumeasina Resort and we had a Christmas buffet lunch there before having some spa treatments. It was a little sad being away from family but we had a really good group of friends so it was still pretty cool.”

Asked about her highlights, Caitlin said visiting some popular tourist spots would be something to remember.

“I feel like the usual highlight that many people mention would be the same as mine,” she said.

“I found To Sua to amazing. The day we went over was an amazing day. We had the place to ourselves and the water was crystal clear.

“In Lalomanu, we stayed at the beach fale’s and they were so welcoming with pristine beaches.”

Caitlin added that Samoa is perfect the way it is and there’s nothing that needs to be improved.

“I have simply loved the trip,” she said.

“I don’t think Samoa needs to change at all. The people are already very friendly to visitors and when you walk by everyone says hi and they are more than willing to help you out when needed.

“This was an amazing trip; we get beautiful weather and the people are so friendly. It is definitely worth the trip over.

“Thank you very much Samoa for an amazing time and I hope I get to come back soon.”
