Twenty-seven Colleges from Upolu and Savai’i had the chance to listen to Parliament procedures last week as part of the Parliamentary College Programme.

The programme is organized by the Office of the Legislative Assembly and has been running for four years now.

It provides an opportunity for the students from selected colleges to interact with Parliament representatives so they can learn about the functions of Parliament.

During the two-day event, the students took part in a Speech Competition and on Thursday a prize giving was held where Lefaga College was declared the overall winner.

Fiva Faafeu, 18, delivered the speech for Lefaga College. She hails from Safa’atoa.

RESULTS:

Group 1 - Fiva Faafeu (Lefaga College)

Group 2 - Roy Ah Sam (Safata College)

Group 3 - Vaeluaga T Moeloa (Don Bosco College)

Group 4 - Apineru Lemapu (Falealii College)
