Confusion in Samoa

Re: Confucius institute in Samoa

We are a Christian Nation, Confucius ideologies are different, and mostly oppose Christian values. This is like establishing a new church in Samoa from a different approach. How smart is that for the Chinese Govt. to use these developments confuse our Govt/HRPP and our people.

Confucius is like a God for the Chinese people, they pray and meditate to him everyday, and now his Teachings is becoming a part of our National University studies, I don’t agree for once.

It is okay to learn Chinese language, just like we learn the Japanese language and other foreign languages, but to set up a Confucius Institute, is a different ball game.

Christ and Confucius are not the same. For Christ is Lord and saviour for Samoans, and Confucius is a confusion for our people. May God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit Bless our Samoa.
