The Samoa Shipping Corporation (S.S.C) is continuing to develop the Mulifanua and Salelologa Wharves for a better travelling experience for members of the public.

The General Manager of S.S.C, Papali’i Willie Nansen, told Samoa Observer these developments are to ensure the safety and convenience of everyone.

“The government will continue to develop our country and bring in new changes for our people to enjoy,” Papali’i said.

The General Manager said they have some exciting developments in store.

And while he wouldn’t tell us what they are just yet, he said these developments will add value to the services they are providing.

In the long run, Papali’i said that their vision is to be recognised as the premiere Shipping Company in Samoa with a number of specialised shipping related services.

“Our goal is to continue to provide safe, reliable and affordable shipping services effective and efficient for the people of Samoa,” he said.

“We will continue to improve the quality of our vessels and upgrade our terminals to ensure they are safe, comfortable and convenient for the travelling public.

“The bottom line is to ensure the services we offer are cost effective and profitable in providing high returns to our shareholders which is Government.”

S.S.C employs 264 staff members including one Senior Volunteer from J.I.C.A.
