Do everything as if God is watching you physically.

That’s the approach Anitele’a Tyrell, 57, of Faleula encourages people to take towards life.

In the hot sun yesterday, the Village Voice caught up with the father while he was working to maintain the road beside his work place at Moamoa.

Anitele’a believes a lot of people are not using their talents, abilities and time wisely.

“We are all unique in our own ways,” he tells the Village Voice.

“We all have different purposes in life but all we need to do is to find out what our purposes are and work hard.”

Anitele’a works. Every day, he wakes up, prepares food for the family before he goes to work.

“I work to clean the compound at Moamoa,” he saud.

“I only work for three days. Each day is worth $50 and this money is to help my two daughters.”

The hard working father went on to talk about life in general.

“Each and everyone should earn whatever amount of money to make things easier in their families.”

“In Samoa if you don’t have a job, your duty is to look after your family and work on the plantation. We are lucky that we have land that we can work on to provide for our families.”

Aside from work, he also collects and sells coconuts.

“I always have chores to do at home. This is Samoa; we do a lot of feau.”

“I know I shouldn’t be working because my kids are working but to me personally I want to help them while I still can.”

“Working is also good to maintain my heath.”
