Lepea snatches Apia West Shield

The Lepea Rugby Club celebrated sweet success during the weekend. 

They are the new shield holders at the Apia West Rugby Union, after defeating Taufusi, 18-12.

The clash was the main game for the Round Four of their domestic competition.

The Taufusi side had held on to the shield for two weeks, having won it from Toamua.

In the Apia West Under-20 competition, Afega side retained their Shield after defeating neighboring brothers Malie, 29-7.

Vaitele Under-20 side defeated Vailoa, 12-3, while Vaigaga defeated Taufusi, 19-6.

Other matches saw Malie overcome Vailoa, 38-7, Afega lost to 7-13 to Vaitele. 

Lepea Under-20 team and Vaigaga Senior A team were on bye last weekend for the Apia West Rugby Union round four competition.
