Thank you to the President of the Land and Titles Court

Dear Editor,

I write to convey my gratitude for publishing the article titled ‘President explains’ on Tuesday 22nd August after the lapse of some three months. Very interesting reading; and it’s a well-prepared decision and an outcome of a prayerful and a quiet inquiry.

And to my experience in relation with these things; they are  very ‘’sensitive’’ information and judgment that only the Court and Parties to the case who should have access to; as echoed in the Report itself; and the main reason why the Court under its regulations and rules treat them as ‘Confidential’ information.

So thank you Mr. Editor once again for courageously making it a public document for the information our readers. Great job!

And whilst I have no objection as well, and being a ‘’Leader’’ to my own personal family’s 20 ‘titles’  cases at the same Court since 1986 without rejecting any Fa’amasino in all those cases; I would very much agree with the heirs of the Faumuinā at Lepea and welcome them for successfully using the lawful provisions to voice such disagreements over a Fa’amasino’s suspected  [if you like] or a genuine connection with any case before the Court in the manner the law prescribed and using that legal opportunity; in particular with high standing ‘titles’ arguments such as the Faumuinā title in our Faleata District.

Thank you Honorable President lau Afioga Fepulea’i Letufuga Atila Manutōipule Ropati for doing the most honorable thing in this case ‘’step aside.’’  Believe me, doing every right thing is a god-inspired decision.  Manuia lou alo faiva ma galuega o feagai ai.
