Life sucks

I lay my hands on my head in frustration

I through my books towards the wall

How come this is happening to me?

How come there is no one to catch me when I fall?

I walk over to my desk

And knock all its contents to the floor

I tip over the furniture in the room in anger

Then I run out of the room through the open door

I run and run

Until I fall to the dirt

I start to cry in a heap of sobs

I feel the grass and twigs inside my shirt

My mind reflects upon the recent events

Trying to comprehend

Asking myself the same question over and over

Is this how I’m condemned?

I remember the stress and trouble others brought

I remember the trials I faced

The pain in my heart is unbearable

I feel my heart has been misplaced

Did anyone know

How I was breaking while they fell asleep?

Did anyone know

I’m haunted by every memory?

Did anyone know

I’m trying to pick myself up piece by piece?

Did anyone know

I can’t seem to find peace?

I try to forgive them

But it doesn’t seem right

I need more time to work on forgetting

Because forgetting is a harder fight

I just wish people would know

That I hurt while they fall asleep

I wish they would understand

That my mistakes are slowly drowning me

I sit up and I see a hand being held out

I begin to tear up again

And I knew they would be there for me

I knew they would be with me in the end

I gripped the hand

And was drawn into their embrace

I finally felt calmed

Tears of joy ran down my face

I tried to recall those horrible memories

But they were chased away

I knew it was because I had truly forgiven

And I knew it was all okay

Have we all had those horrible times where life gets the best of us?  Have you ever found that a certain day seemed to be trying to kill you?  Have you just felt frustrated and pressured that it actually caused you to shed a few tears?  Have you ever thought to yourself, “Life sucks!”?  If so, then I suggest you keep reading?  If you’re wondering if any of these questions apply to me, then I guess the answer to that is yes.

Life is a harsh and unforgiving thing, and at times it can get a little intense and even frustrating.  Well I’m here to say that it still isn’t enough to get the better of any of us.  Life is hard, life is unfair, and life really, really, really sucks!  That is the only way to put it.  But like I said before, it is still not enough to get us down.

Recently I have had a lot of trials, quick changes and frustrating moments.  And I still am rattled by it all.  So my advice is to stop sulking and move on.  We will face worse moments in the future because if I know anything, it’s that life gets harder the longer we live it.  But one other thing that happens while we live life is that we learn from it.  So the trials and tribulations we face only are going to make us stronger.

Some people when faced with unknown trials and problems, a lot tend to blame God for their problems, and they would be right.  If some of you are saying, “what?” then let me explain further.  In my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, part of our teachings is that the Lord gives us these problems to test and strengthen us.  But the thing people don’t know is that the Lord will never give us trials that he knows we cannot overcome.

One other thing why the Lord gives us trials in life is to prepare us for new blessings.  So although he gives us problems, he will reward us for defeating that problem.

Even thought life may suck at times, it sucks so that we can rule.  So the next the time you face a frustrating event remember my words and message, for blessings are in store for you.
