The National Prosecution Office strongly opposed the bail application of Setefano Taofia Toala, an Avele student who is facing charges of posting threats on social media about attacking another school.

Mr Toala appeared in the District Court yesterday before Judge Vaepule Vaemoa Va’ai while Iliganoa Atoa appeared for the National Prosecution Office.

The accused was arrested in early May after he was caught posting threats and asking the students of his school to attack another school.

The accused is facing nine charges and Toala pleaded guilty to four charges in relation to social media and pleaded not guilty to five other charges.

The accused is remanded in custody until the 27th and 28th July 2016 for hearing.
