Caretaker Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, has hailed the Director of Samoan film, the Three Wise Cousins.

Tuilaepa was speaking during a special screening of the movie at Apollo Cinemas last night, organised by Digicel Samoa.

The road facing the cinema was closed off while VIP guests were given the red carpet treatment at a beautifully decorated Apollo Cinema.

This premier marks the films Pacific release and it is befitting that it is happening where it was filmed

“We are here to celebrate the talents of our people who have produced and acted this self-funded feature film,” Tuilaepa said.

“This film will promote and once again endorse Samoa as a nation of happy people.

“I have been informed that the film has been doing extremely well in the New Zealand and the Australian box office where it is competing with much bigger budget films in the cinemas.”

Tuilaepa acknowledged the Film maker, Stallone Vaiaoga Ioasa and his crew

“Congratulations to the director, writer and producer Stallone and his crew,” he said. “This is significant. It shows what our people can do with the support of family and friends for the enjoyment of everyone.

“To Stallone and the crew, you have been blessed with talent and we can’t imagine what else you have up your sleeve.”
