Three Police officers have been suspended, and are facing charges - including corruption.

Police Commissioner, Fuiavailili Egon Keil, confirmed that the trio, whose names are withheld, were charged and suspended last week.

Two of the suspended officers were seniors, while one was a lower-ranked officer. Fuiavailili did not disclose why the trio were charged and suspended.

However, he told the media that the matter is now with the Office of the Attorney General.

Fuiavailili said he has constantly stressed that bad behavior from the police is unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. Staff must be accountable for their actions, he added.
