Moamoa Roosters seal deal

S.S.A.B. and Moamoa Roosters signed a new sponsorship agreement for the year 2018.

The Roosters were represented by their Vice President, Fainuulelei James Ah Wai and Rugby Head Coach, Gustav Slade. 

“We are grateful to S.S.A.B. for continuing to sponsor both our rugby and soccer teams. Promoting sports amongst our youth encourages harmony and peace within our village,” said Fainuulelei.

According to S.S.A.B’s C.E.O./President, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai, “S.S.A.B. has been the main sponsor for the Roosters for the past several years and is happy to continue that support. I also thank the coaches and management team of the Roosters for volunteering their time to develop sports amongst our youth.”

Morale and confidence within the Roosters rugby team has been boosted with the addition of Afa Lesa, Roger Warren and Sapani Pomare to their coaching staff. The additional help is timely given the Roosters move to play at Apia Rugby Union.

S.S.A.B’s sponsorship comprised of $4,500 cash and weekly casual jobs for the rugby team at its Megastore. Those who excel as casual workers are hired as full time employees by S.S.A.B. 

Paul Junior PJ Mulipola, is the latest member of the Roosters who is now a full time employee at S.S.A.B. He is grateful and had this to say, “I thank God for giving me the opportunity to play for the Roosters which has enabled me get a job at S.S.A.B. to support my family.”
