The Lepea Football Club presented jerseys and sport shoes for all its young players, courtesy of the Atoa family.

The presentation took place at the Lepea field.

With the 2018 International Federation of Association Football (F.I.F.A.) World Cup fever around the world, the donation is a timely boost for the football club, especially the boys and girls in the Under 10, 13 and 17 age groups.

“We are truly blessed in receiving sports uniforms and shoes for our players. We thank the Atoa family for their generous support,” Vice President of Lepea Football Club, Desmond Edward said.

“This donation will be used and will be of great help to our players in developing the sport of football.

“The children are the future and of course they are also the future of this game so it is very important that we nurture their skills at a young age so they will grow up with enough knowledge to be successful and who knows become one of those famous professional football players,” he said.

Lepea Football Club player, Peniata Soul Maiava, was one of the chosen football players to represent Samoa this year at the football for friendship tournament in Russia.
