It has been an exciting four days for Auckland residents Rebekah Chambers, David Berto, Courtney Sanft and Andrew Pogot.

They flew into Samoa last Saturday and have already visited the island of Namau and went to the Sliding Rocks of Papaseea.

The couples are looking forward to discovering more of Samoa over the next few days, while staying at Tanoa Tusitala Hotel.

Andrew said he was looking forward to see the volcanic lava caves and the To Sua Ocean Trench. They also plan to visit the Robert Louise Stevens Museum and will trek up to the monument.

Thanks to the beauty of Samoa and the fun they have been having since they arrived, Andrew said it was the perfect time and place to propose to his girlfriend Courtney Sanft, who happily said “yes”. And a day after their engagement, they have added more to their wonderful experience in Samoa.

“We love the beaches around here. We went to Lalomanu Beach and it’s amazing,” Andrew said.

When asked about the level of service that they have been offered, the couples said the people are very friendly and hospitable.

“Since we’ve arrived everyone has been really nice. Everywhere we go people are helpful and its really nice,” said Rebekah.

According to the couples they all looked forward to their six-day visit and agreed that they will do a tour of Upolu and hopefully go to Savai’i.

“We are definitely enjoying Samoa,” Rebekah added.
