The case against the three suspended Police Officers has been adjourned again over prosecution’s inconsistencies.

Justice Vui Clarence Nelson raised his concerns regarding the long period of time since the adjournment of this case.

Prosecutor Lucy Sio asked the court for another adjournment for prosecution because she said they are still not ready to make their final submissions.

The three suspended Police Officers, Inspector Keti Toleafoa, Sergeant Evilemalota Mano and Corporal Kolisi Tupu are jointly charged with obstruction of justice, false entry or recording and

Up until now, final submissions from counsels have yet to be submitted.

“This matter was adjourned from a month ago, and my concern is for the defendants who are under suspension,” said Justice Vui.

He said this matter should have been dealt with a long time ago.

Toleafoa was represented by lawyer Leaota Raymond Schuster while Pau Tafaogalupe Mulipola appeared on behalf of the two officers and they both agreed to the application for another adjournment.

Justice Vui then adjourned this matter to 12:30pm on the 23rd November 2016 for all counsels to present their final submissions on this matter.
