GREAT ATTITUDE, GREAT SMILE: GREAT LIFE: John Leota, 23, from the village of Puipa’a.

As we go about our day, we often forget that even the simple things in life matter.

We forget that the way we feel today depends a lot on how you view life. If you choose to remain positive then you will have a good day with many smiles.

If you choose to see the world through angry eyes then your mood will be foul.

That’s how John Leota from the village of Puipa’a sees everything. Aged 23, John works at the wharf so he can earn a bit of money to help out with his family.

John says that everything in his life is great because he chooses for it to be so.

“There is nothing too hard about life,” he told the Village Voice.

“To be honest everything is pretty simple for me. If you think of life as hard then it will be hard, If you tell yourself that life can be easy and happy then it will be so.

“That’s how I see life and I that’s why I have no worries.”

John also said that helping out where he is needed is another reason for his positive mood. He mentions that another possible reason for his great free flowing life is not having a wife to complicate things.

“I currently work at the wharf and I make enough money to help out my family,” he said.

“No matter how much money I make, the most important thing is to be able to manage it wisely. I am not picky with my pay, all I know is that I should be an honest worker and everything else will follow.

“I don’t have a wife but I help out around the house wherever I am needed. I think that’s another reason why everything is so simple with life; I don’t have a wife to complicate things.”

Asked for a final message for Samoa, John wants to advise everyone that your mood and your day depends on you and you alone.

“I have been living here for a while now,” he said.

“My only message to Samoa is that if you want a great life then it’s up to you to do it. Being negative all the time causes problems. Be happy and smile.”
