Fatal collision claims life

A fatal collision claimed the life of a 29-year-old man from Faleasiu at the beginning of the week.

The man, whose identity is unknown, died at the Moto’otua hospital, on Monday.

Police Media Officer, Su’a Lemamea Tiumalu, confirmed the death saying that the Police are investigating the cause of it.

He was not sure whether charges have been laid.

The collision occurred at around 5pm at Faleasi’u when a rental car heading east smashed into a van coming the opposite direction.

A friend of the deceased man who wished to stay anonymous said the man was selling pork buns when he decided to get into a rental car heading towards the airport.
