Samoans and democracy

Dear Editor,

Re: The media and political power addiction

I think the Samoa Constitution should be taught in all high schools.

All Samoans should understand the meaning of democracy.

As quoted here:

“Democracy guards against the double headed menace of power,  addiction and corruption through a system of checks and balances that Parliament, the Judiciary and the Executive provide.”

Everyone in Samoa loses if corruption keeps going on and on without any stop put to it.

Cultures (which is learned and repeated behaviours) that have corruption of any form built within it will not last long and will be replaced with a more honest and Christ-like system.

Every soul has within them a corruption detector that lets them know that another person’s actions are either corrupt or honest (Christ-like).
