All Black Kaino cheated on wife with former model – reports

A popular Samoan All Black star Jerome Kaino has been cheating on his wife with a former Australian model in a string of hotel hook-ups, The Daily Telegraph has revealed.

The revelation comes after New Zealand Rugby reopened its investigation into halfback Aaron Smith’s sexual encounter in an airport toilet cubicle.

The latest scandal leaves the All Blacks’ previously invincible reputation in tatters.

Ex-model Tara Pokarier met up with Kaino for sex in hotels in Auckland, Sydney and Brisbane before discovering he was married.

“She was absolutely devastated when she realised he had a wife and kids,” a close friend of the 24-year-old said from Canberra.

“Clearly there is a cultural problem within the team if this type of thing is going on.”

Ms. Pokarier was in Auckland last May when she arranged via Snapchat to meet Kaino.

“It was a purely sexual relationship,” she told the friend after their tryst.

The forward, who regularly posts loving shots with wife Diana and their children on social media, kept in touch with Ms Pokarier and suggested they meet in Sydney before last year’s Bledisloe Cup match.

“He then came to her room at the Four Seasons in Sydney on the Thursday before last year’s cup match,” the friend said.

Kaino gave her tickets to the game.

“She was blissfully happy with things and posting shots of them together on social media,” the friend said.

Ms Pokarier even flew to Brisbane in December when Kaino was playing in the Global Tens.

“Tara asked him about his relationship status and he tried to cover up that he was married,” the friend said.  “That’s when she stopped hooking up with him sexually.”

Ms Pokarier’s friend said she decided to reveal Kaino’s cheating before another woman fell for his charms.

“I had to say something,” she said. “Tara is not a home-wrecker and feels terribly for his wife.”

NZ Rugby C.E.O Steve Tew called the latest allegations "concerning", recognising the impact that cases such as Smith and Kaino's were having on the game itself.

"While NZR does not wish to comment on individual behaviour, it is clear this is really hurting rugby, all the people concerned, our fans and supporters," Tew said via statement.

"We take these issues very seriously, and are also mindful that these issues affect people with families and loved ones.

"As an employer, we will take some time to asses this."

A veteran of 81-Tests for New Zealand and the incumbent in the No. 6 jersey, Kaino was curiously dropped for the opening Bledisloe Cup Test in Sydney Saturday night in favour of Liam Squire.

It's unclear whether his exclusion is related to this latest incident.
