The growth of the Federal Pacific Group (F.P.G.), with offices in Timor Leste, Tahiti, Tonga and Samoa as the headquarters, has been praised by the Governor of the Central Bank of Samoa, Maiava Atalina Enari.

The Governor offered the praises during a function hosted by the Federal Pacific Insurance Group at Aggie Grey’s Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort last week.

The Central Bank of Samoa in partnership with the International Monetary Fund (I.M.F.) and the Asian Development Bank hosted the 33rd conference, with the focus on Fintech and financial inclusion in the region.

The conference was held at the Return to Paradise Resort.

The mandate of the Central Bank includes regulating of financial institutes and fostering sound business practices and intermediaries, bolstering financial literacy and capability of consumers, and ensuring effective consumer protection regime.

“On behalf of the Pacific Central Bank Governors, I extend our appreciation to the Federal Pacific Group for hosting all the delegates,” said Maiava.

“It is becoming a permanent fixture in these gatherings especially in the last few years, where the F.P.G. hosted similar events together with the Central Bank of Timor Leste and National Reserve Bank of Tonga.”

Governor Maiava acknowledged local Manager of F.P.G., Namulauulu Sami Leota, for driving the vision of F.P.G. to expand its operations.

“As Governor of the Central Bank of Samoa, I find it an encouraging sign to see a Samoan company developing successfully and more significantly when those companies expand their services into other countries and it is something I am very proud of.”

Namulau’uulu said F.P.G’s growth is the result of persistence and hardwork.

Federal Pacific Insurance was launched in Samoa in 1999. It is represented in four countries in the Asia/Pacific region and in London through their representative office.

The Company prides itself on its commitment to its customers and has played a significant part in insuring a wide variety of risks –personal, commercial and government - throughout the Pacific region.

Federal Pacific Insurance has offices in: Samoa, Tonga, United Kingdom, Cook Islands and Timore Leste.
