Jordan Chewlit has done it again.
He is triumphant following the Squash tournament sponsored by Apia Concrete Products yesterday.
In winning the tournament, Chewlit has become the first recipient of the memorial trophy dedicated to the late Tupua Fred Wetzell.
The Samoa Squash Association last night hosted their end of year prize giving at the Apia Concrete Products compound at Vaitele.
President Masoe Norman Wetzell said there is a lot to celebrate.
“It’s a blessing to be here and also a blessing to have this tournament again this year of 37th years since Apia Concrete Products sponsoring Samoa Squash but also in memory of late Tupua Fred Wetzell.”
Masoe acknowledged the presence of Lemalu Ray Ah Liki the Managing Director of Samoa Commercial Bank, which is one of their major sponsors.
Jordan Chewlit played against his brother Ivan Chewlit during the A group final where Jordan prevailed.
“It was a tight contest played against my own brother,” he said.
“It was only a matter of who was going to win and I’m glad it came my way.
“This is also my encouragement to the young ones out there to try out for this wonderful game of Squash.”
Chewlit acknowledged the Squash Association for the wonderful tournament this year.
“I enjoy playing Squash because it keeps me fit and shape.”
