Samoa Observer reporter in China
Samoa Observer Reporter, Sarafina Sanerivi, has spent the past two weeks in Beijing, China.
She is among 20 media representatives from the Pacific region attending the "2016 Seminar for New Media Journalists of Developing Countries” being held there.
Organised by the Research and Training Institute of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, part of the programme include visits to other Chinese cities, including Nanjing.
“I’m deeply appreciative of the opportunity to visit China and learn about the new forms of media technology they have,” said Ms. Sanerivi.
“I look forward to sharing what I’ve learnt from China with my colleagues and our readers when I return to Samoa.”
The programme is covering different topics related to the fields of radio and television, such as China's national condition, China’s RTV development and strategy, new media development, operation ideas and innovation of broadcasting organizations, the exchange and cooperation between China's broadcasting organizations and foreign partners, etc.
Senior officials from State Council Information Office and State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of China are addressing the participants.
