“No one can steal the love you were born to find, if it’s meant to be, God will lead you to it.”

The phrase augurs well for Anzac Ve’e and Penese Simone Penese who tied the knot recently after ten years of courtship.

The service was conducted by Father Sanele Tuilaepa at the Mass in St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Parish, Vaimoso.

Anzac is the eldest daughter of Afoa Sio and Pesio Ve’e of Vaimoso and Vaisala. Penese is the eldest son of Lemauga Simone and Vitolia Penese from Vaimoso and Sataua.

The couple’s friendship dates back to their childhood.

“Our friendship started when we were both in Sunday School, but we became more than friends in the late 2009 where we started dating and got engaged early last year,” they said.

The groom also spoke about the challenges they both encountered.

“It was never a smooth ride for us. A lot of challenges hit us so many times but what kept us going was the strong love we have for each other.”

A reception held at Maota Samoa brought families, friends and guests to celebrate.
