Avele College got its turn to honour God and impress the nation on national TV on Wednesday night.

The Puataunofo boys and girls took their opportunity gladly, with a fabulous performance at the 13 Days of Christmas programme at Vaitele-uta.

Avele was the second school to take part in the annual event, following Malua Fou College earlier this week.

Families and friends of the students filled the Congregational Christian Church at Vaitele Uta to see the performance.

Rev. Muao Fagasua Su’a, of the C.C.C.S. Vaitele, said the decision to include schools in the programme has been embraced by everyone.

“It is the TV’s suggestion that we invited different organizations and schools as well,” he said.

“We are starting with two colleges this year and if it all goes well then we will carry on for the years to come.”

Rev. Muao said he has been thoroughly impressed by the performances so far.

“Each choir has stepped up and it’s been wonderful to watch,” he said.

“The number of choirs is also increasing compared to the past years and it’s a good thing.”

The programme continues tonight.
