Work of Savai’i firefighters honoured

The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (F.E.S.A.) has acknowledged the hard work and great determination shown by 23 fire fighters of the big island of Savai’i.

This was done during a Promotion Ceremony held at the Maota Fire Station last Thursday. There were nine firefighters from Asau Station and 14 from Maota Fire Station. 

Tuala Tele’a, a member of the Board of Directors, congratulated all the promoted officers.

 Tuala reminded the firefighters what the Prime Minister’s main message to the same ceremony for firefighters in Upolu which he stated the importance of using “Common Sense.”

“Don’t just consider what has been documented but use common sense together with the policy and procedures,” they were told.

The ceremony was attended by the Board, Executive and staff as well as families and friends of the officers promoted.
