It’s all in the numbers

Dear Editor,

Oh! How so comforting is it to know that while one Christian denomination is still head butting the pulpit over that simple thing called tax, along comes another Christian body with vision to go well out of their way to accommodate a request from the government of the day.

Easily, the Methodist group deserves a standing ovation for this gesture. To postpone their annual conference in the face of discerning members from abroad is not only a brave decision but a noble call as well.

Rev. Faulalo was comfortable in his decision because he had the support of the majority or in other words, he’s got the numbers.

Talking about numbers, that is what all these online chatter comes down to.

Malele, Talalelei, and recently Saute may think they’ve become somebody because they’ve got “a-bit-of-a-following-going-on” but it’s all hollow and shallow. At least SSIG are on the right path by targeting the polls even though success is not guaranteed.

You see, we’ve been hearing the same grumblings in 2006, 2011, and 2016 prior to elections. Yet all results were landslides in favour of HRPP.

So as loud as you think you’re yelling, and as far as you can hurl your pig’s head, the fact is you are in the minority.

In other words you don’t have the numbers where it counts.

If you don’t have the noodles to register a political party then go vote for SSIG or poor old Olo Va’ai because that’s the only way to erode another landslide victory in 2021 for the PM who, by the way, is gloating at your stupidity.

Stop breaking the law. Be educated and know what to do to get the numbers.

It’s all in the numbers, and you don’t get it on Facebook, YouTube, or InstaPigsHead.
