It’s all about choices we make

Dear Editor,

Re: Going the extra mile for family

What is inherently obvious by all these stories since the start of this series is “Choices.”

There are people (family) that will not allow their circumstances defy them.

They are willing to work to put some kind of food on the table.

They are not relying on the government for any assistance. They are making sacrifices if warranted. They understand that each day is different and they accept what each day brings. They stride for the best each and everyday.

Their principles are in order and they refused to look elsewhere or accept starvation.

And... There are those who want others to provide for them. They blame everyone else for their living conditions and expecting the government to provide for them. They pray each day but would not work to achieve the wants. They put wants above needs.

I believe if we all put forth the efforts to work hard and not depending on government (will never happen) or limit ourselves, we can all achieve better and decent daily life.

I am not judging but just an honest observation.
