The Minister of Women, Community and Social Development, Tolofuaivalelei Falemoe Lei’ataua, is the keynote speaker.

“The awards have been set up to recognise the outstanding efforts of individuals, non-government organisations and government ministries that have worked to improve the lives of people with a disability in Samoa,” said Tapusoa Sarasopa Siliato, President of Nuanua O Le Alofa.

The awards are split up into three categories:

“These awards mark an important milestone for Nuanua O Le Alofa, to acknowledge the sacrifice and dedication of those who have supported the dignity, rights and inclusion of people with disability in our society. We hope you can join us at this important event,” said Mata’afa Faatino Utumapu, Manager of Nuanua O Le Alofa.

N.O.L.A is the national advocacy organisation for people with disabilities in Samoa.

The 2015 awards are one of its many commitments to motivate and advocate for a fully-inclusive and barrier-free Samoa for those with disabilities.
