Lupesoliai Laaulialemalietoa Joseph Parker made a special visit to the Pediatric Ward on Friday afternoon.

The visit was his way of thanking the people of Samoa for their support in providing gifts to the children who were at the Moto’otua Hospital.

But one of the special reasons for Lupesoliai’s visit was to see Jayden Roebeck.

Jayden is a six-year-old boy who is diagnosed with leukemia.

He has just returned from New Zealand for treatment.

According to Jayden’s mother, her son is a big fan of Joseph Parker so it really made his day when he had photos taken with the World Champion.

But it was not only for young Jayden, but also for all the children who were able to meet Lupesoliai and receive gifts from the young Samoan New Zealander.

Apart from the visit, Digicel C.E.O. Farid Mohammed together with the Management and Lupesoliai presented a cheque of $3,000 to the Samoa Cancer Society donated by staff members of Digicel.

One of the nurses at the Children’s Ward acknowledged the support of Digicel and most especially Lupesoliai Laaulialemalietoa Joseph Parker.

“We want to thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to come and visit the children,” said the nurse.

“Despite the pain that they are going through with illnesses, the smiles that were seen on their faces today says it all.

“Your surprise visit to them means a lot to the parents but us as well and for that we want to thank you for the gifts, the love and most especially for putting the smiles on the children’s faces here today.”
