Still the best tourism destination

Second time visitors to our shores believe that Samoa is the best tourism destination.

Louis Hamlin, from Auckland, New Zealand is spending 10 days in Samoa with his partner, Hilda Cross.

Hilda has Samoan ties to Fa’ala Palauli on the big island of Savai’i.

The couple arrived in the islands last week Sunday and they are staying at the Taumeasina Island Resort.

“Taumeasina is just beautiful and it’s a great place to relax,” Hamlin told Dear Tourist.

“This is our fifth day and we’re just chilling here in Upolu before heading to Savai’i later on this week for a couple of days there.

“We haven’t been out lately. We visited the Information Center yesterday (Wednesday) and also went around the small village there. It was beautiful.”

Hamlin said the reason for their second visit is basically to connect with Hilda’s family in Savai’i and to try and explore much of Savai’i.

He shared their first time to Samoa was basically spent driving around Upolu.

“This time when we go to Savai’i, we’re going to go across to the eastern side just a little bit further so that we get to know more of Savai’i this time,” Hamlin said.

He shared that another exciting part of this trip is that his mother will also join them flying in from France to visit his partner’s family too.

“She’s coming over for a day to Savai’i and we are going to go see the family, chill out and go see the turtles.

Hamlin and Hilda have been courting for seven years.

Travelling to Samoa was a chance for a getaway for the couple.

“It’s beautiful, yeah it’s a very nice way to live life and I think Samoa is one of the best places I have ever been to, compared to other places I’ve travelled to.”
