DAD

I feel so old

When I stand next to you.

Of how tall I am

And how big I am beside you.

But I feel younger

When I’m spoiled by you.

And how you would always

Call me your baby girl.

Thank you for your love

Without you, I’m incomplete.

Thank you for your support

God blessed me with the best.

Thank you for the scolding

It gives me the strength to try harder.

Thank you for the tears

It helped me get through my fears.

You taught me how to fight

Learn my mistakes and

Forget and forgive my past.

You taught me how to believe

How to sit and stand

Live a Samoan life in the outside world.

You taught me how to smile

And always push me to be myself.

I’ve seen how you work

Day and night, you never stop.

I’ve seen how you’re stress

Sometimes you just gotta give it a break.

I should be proud of you

I AM proud of having you.

That you’re a father to not only three

But to the many of us living together.

I love you dad

And thank you for everything.

For the ride,

For keeping us safe in your hands.

For the advices,

For making sure we don’t repeat them again

For my life

For making everyday a different day.

Happy Father’s Day to you

Put a smile on that handsome face.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads

Don’t give up just yet

Happy Father’s Day to my late granddads

Uncles and Brother, you’re in a better place.

Happy Father’s Day dad

You give me purpose to love life more.
