The people doing most damage

Dear Editor,

Don’t buy into that nonsense; it’s the industrialized countries with their drift nets and long lines that are destroying the ecosystem. These two species can’t survive on their own; other species need to flourish too for any conservation measure to work.

Quite frankly, we are not hurting the environment with our method of fishing. I don’t think we are killing a hundred sharks a week like fishing fleets crisis crossing the Pacific everyday, so our simple method of fishing is quite sustainable.

We are not the problem and of course these puppets in government who have decided to run a modern economy with support from subsistence fishing and farming have no guts to view any objection.

Or perhaps they were forced to submit and take the blame for the sins of the masters.
