Two wrongs don’t make it right

Re: P.M. laughs at village threat

The P.M. is said to have done many things wrong, none of those things I completely know of but I do believe in the majority of them.

But in this case, the punishment wasn’t over the top.

What the Luatuanu’u people did was dangerous to the public and very risky for themselves. It was wrong of the P.M. to call them dogs like that, we cannot fix a wrong with another wrong.

But the Luatuanu’u Council and boys did not unjustly get this punishment.

They brought it upon themselves with their actions; if they want to participate in sports in the future then maybe they should think about enhancing their sportsmanship skills.

Not very sport friendly what they did, but still. I understand the hurt feeling in this, being called dogs like that. It was rude and uncalled for, apologies should be in order from both the P.M. and the village council and boys.

Like I said, two wrongs won’t make it right.

It’ll just feed flame to a burning fire; I hope this can be resolved without resorting to more violence from our people. He’s just one man (P.M.), we should try to become one people and unite for a better Samoa in the future and not go against each other.
