PR - The Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the National University of Samoa completed a five-day workshop on Writing Right for Business Professionals last week.

The workshop was delivered by Catherine Poutasi of Integrity Professionals NZ and co-trained by Odette Frost-Kruse.

The training was made possible through funding under the Samoa In-country Training Programme housed with the Oloamanu Centre for Professional Development and Continuing Education (OCPDCE) from the National University of Samoa.

The training is a result of a need identified by the Samoa Chamber of Commerce through their Training Needs Analysis for its members in terms of capacity building for their Human Resources.

The workshop was attended by 24 participants who were eager and committed to learn and implement effective skills in business reporting.

Feedback from participants indicated that the workshop was very helpful and informative for their line of work.

One of the participants stated, “This workshop has been great. It has been an eye opener and it has introduced new concepts and approaches to be taken when formulating and writing reports and other related documents. For some it was a refresher course but we all learned something new and are very thankful for this training opportunity”.

The Chamber of Commerce will continue to implement more training for the private sector through the Samoa In-country Training Programme at the OCPDCE – NUS.
