The Komiti o Feau Eseese has asked the General Assembly of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa for an additional $2million to complete the renovations of the John Williams building. This is according a copy of its report for the 2018 Conference, which is held in Malua this week.

Church pays $1.7 million annually for loan

The Congregational Christian Church of Samoa’s annual payment of $1.7 million to the Samoa National Provident Fund (S.N.P.F.) for their $15.11 million loan should be reconsidered. That is the recommendation by the Komiti o Feau Eseese in their report leaked to the media. The loan from the S.N.P.F. was to assist with the building of the Jubilee Church project and other developments.

Inquiry told of health woes

There was no consultation between the National Health Services and Ministry of Health prior to submitting the merge proposal to Cabinet for their review. That is what the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Leausa Dr. Take Naseri told the Commission of Inquiry appointed by Cabinet to consider the proposed organisational structure for the re-merge of the National Health Services and Ministry of Health.

Supreme Court Justice Tafaoimalo Leilani Tuala-Warren has denied the bail application for the 18-year-old murder defendant. Ietitaia Misialofa of Fogasavai’i is accused in the murder of a man from Vailoa last month. The deceased was found dead on the side of the road with severe injuries to his head.
